System upgrade

Similar to Microsoft XP or Vista the Joomla! CMS system requires to be updated with the latest fixes and patches to maintain an optimal performance, stability and security.

This minimises the prospect of your system becoming valuable to malicious attacks and ensures your systems uptime.

To this end we claim many years of experience upgrading Joomla! systems and therefore well positioned to ensure that your data and system is protected and migrated safely.

 

Upgrade to Joomla! 1.5.x

From Joomla! 1.0.0 to 1.0.14 the product have vastly improved but it still maintained a basic Mambo infrastructure and used terms like ‘Mambot’ to describe some of its extensions.

However this is not the case with Joomla! version 1.5.x as it is more than just a revamp but a new system! Without a hesitation it is a superior CMS system with an improved backend that utilises Ajax in its interface.

Thought the later versions of 1.0.x have been engineered to accommodate the migration to version 1.5.x, the problem lies with many of the extensions. These tools have not been built to facilitate the upgrade to Joomla! 1.5.x. 1.5.x has the capacity support some 1.0.x extension’s by running the system in legacy mode but this affect the systems performance. 

When upgrading your Jsystem to version1.5.x please be aware that extra development time maybe required in developing the extensions to be 1.5 compatible.
