Recommend Environment for Joomla

Recommend Environment
As Joomla is an open-source application it has primary been engineered to run on Apache servers using a Linux operating system. Although Joomla can run on other systems some of it features are not fully support, such as the Apache rewrite.
Furthermore many of the extensions used to enhance the system capability have only been written for Apache so we would recommend using Apache and the Linux operating system. Understandable we cannot guarantee a 3rd party hosting environment therefore we cannot guarantee the system although we have a strict policy of checking 3rd party extensions.
However if the Joomla system is hosted upon our environment, we agree to repair any extensions on the condition that all works have been undertaken by us. If any works are undertaken by a third-party our responsibility to the client will be deemed void - read more.
Back- up facility
As Joomla is a highly versatile web-editing tool, facilitating the site administrator to simply manage content - whether that is to add, edit or delete content items, webpages, documents, databases, images, media or confidential clientele and business information. We would also recommend that a reliable back-up tool as necessary managerial instrument for the Joomla CMS system.
Updates
Unlike the flat static pages of a standard HTML website the Joomla CMS system is a dynamic software piece similar to Microsoft XP or Vista. Therefore the application requires to be updated with the latest fixes and security patched to maintain a stable and secure system.
We would recommend that theses updates be performed at leased three times a year or when an essential update is released. Some of the updates will be security fixes while other update will be up upgrade the system with the latest versions.
As a rule, Joomla's functionality is expanded by extensions or plug-in. This is helpful as it allows us to expand the system abilities without touching or altering the Joomla core code. This provides us with a platform that can be easier updated while keeping the integrity of the system.
As Joomla has been progressively redefining itself as the leading CMS system from the former Mambo project, many of the latest versions have significant improvements.
Although the system can be upgrade without much complication, the extensions may need to be updated to work with the latest versions. When necessary we will inform you of the additional work.
